종교의 관점에서 본 통일교육의 개선 방향 - 가톨릭의 평화사상을 중심으로 -
가톨릭 교회의 평화사상에서 일관되게 강조하고 있는 민족주의에 대 한 반대, 비핵화와 군비 축소 그리고 비폭력에 대한 강조, 인권 존중은 오늘날 통일교육에 많은 함의를 줄 수 있다. 먼저 통일교육의 성격과 방향으로 평화교육을 보다 적극적으로 지향하고 실시하는 것이 필요함 을 알려준다. 통일교육의 목표는 ‘보편적 가치에 대한 신념과 추구’, ‘인류애 또는 세계시민주의의 함양’, ‘한반도 비핵화와 군비통제 내지 군축 의지 고양’으로의 전환을 고려해 볼 수 있다. 통일교육 내용 역시 세계시민교육 또는 평화교육의 관점에서 구성할 필요가 있다. 통일교 육의 방법으로는 참여와 연대를 생각해 볼 수 있다.
Directions for improving unification education from the perspective of religion - focusing on the Catholic Thought of Peace -
The opposition to nationalism, the emphasis on denuclearization, disarmament, and non-violence, and respect for human rights, which are emphasized in the Catholic Church's peace ideology, can have many implications for unification education. It tells us that it is necessary to peace education as the nature and direction of unification education. The goals of unification education can be considered as 'faith and pursuit of universal values', 'cultivation of love for humanity or cosmopolitanism', and 'enhancement of will for denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and arms control or disarmament'. The content of unification education also needs to be structured from the perspective of global citizenship education or peace education. As a method of unification education, participation and solidarity can be considered.
