제임스의 실용주의에 기초한 습관에 대한 도덕교육적 고찰
대표적인 실용주의자인 제임스는 인간이 살아가면서 겪는 경험과 그 경험 속에서 직면하는 도덕적·사회적 문제를 다루는데 그중 하나로 ‘습관’에 대해 살펴볼 수 있다. 제임스의 습관에 대한 논의는 어린 나 이부터 올바른 습관을 형성하고, 습관 형성을 위해 반복적인 행동 실 천과 공언하기가 필요함을 시사한다. 그러나 이와 같은 도덕교육적 시 사점에도 불구하고, 다음과 같은 보완이 요청된다. 첫째, 각자의 삶을 돌아보고 자신에게 필요한 습관을 탐색할 수 있도록 보완이 필요하다. 둘째, 물리학적 관점을 고려한 실천적인 습관 형성 방법에 관한 보완 이 필요하다. 이에 대한 보완을 통해 도덕적 삶을 위해 필요한 습관을 형성해 갈 수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
A Study on the Moral Education of Habit Based on James' Pragmatism
James, a representative pragmatist, deals with the experiences of human life and the moral and social problems encountered in those experiences, one of which is 'habit'. A discussion of James' habit suggests the necessity of forming a right habit from an early age and practicing repetitive actions and public pledge for habit formation. However, despite the moral educational implications of James' habit, the following supplements are needed to prepare a habituation instruction method based on this. First, it is necessary to look back on the way of life and to find the necessary habit for oneself. Second, it is necessary to supplement the practical habit formation method considering the physical point of view. When supplementing this, it is possible to prepare a habituation instruction method that can help achieve a moral life.
