목적론과 기계론의 관계 - 칸트 윤리학의 한계와 윤리학의 과제 -
본 연구의 목적은 윤리학의 논의 과제로 목적론과 기계론의 일원론 적 관계 모색이 주어져 있다는 것을 밝히고, 양자의 관계에 대한 종래 의 이해로는 윤리학의 과제를 해결할 수 없다는 점을 부각하는 데 있 다. 기계론이 자연관의 전면에 등장한 근대 이후 신과 자연, 자연과 인 간, 그리고 자연과 자유 사이에 분리의 역사가 시작되었고, 칸트는 그 사조 속에서 지성의 유한성을 바탕으로 자연에서 자유의 실현을 모색 한다. 그러나 칸트의 시도는 자신의 윤리학적 기획의 토대가 된 지성 의 유한성을 스스로 부정하지 않는 이상 결코 성공에 이를 수 없는 근 본적 결함을 노출한다. 이러한 태생적 결함은 근대 기계론의 등장에 근거하고 있다는 점에서, 이 한계를 넘어서기 위해서는 기계론에 대한 전면적인 재검토는 물론 나아가 목적론과 기계론의 새로운 관계 설정이 필요하다.
On the Relationship between Teleology and Mechanism - The Limitations of Kant's Ethics and the Task of Ethics -
The purpose of this study is to clarify that the search for the monistic relationship between teleology and mechanism is given as a task in ethics, and that the task of ethics cannot be solved by a conventional understanding of the relationship between the two. After modern times, when mechanical theory appeared at the forefront of the natural view, the history of separation between God and nature, nature and humans, nature and freedom began, and Kant sought the realization of freedom in nature based on the finiteness of intelligence. However, Kant's attempt exposes fundamental flaws that can never reach success unless he denies the finiteness of intelligence, which is the basis of his ethical project. This fate of ethics has been embedded in the emergence of mechanical theory, so a complete reexamination of mechanism is required. This discussion should focus on revealing that mechanism and teleology are inevitably related to each other.
