포용적 애국심의 재건 - 마사 누스바움(M. Nussbaum)의 감정론을 중심으로 -
본 연구는 우리 사회가 재건해야 할 포용적 애국심에 대해 논의하였 다. 정치적 감정의 종류인 혐오와 분노, 연민을 검토하였다. 연민은 바 람직한 공적 기획력을 지닌 포용적 애국심의 기반이다. 포용적 애국심 은 이타적이고 정의로운 사회를 만들기 위해 노력할 수 있는 동기를 제공해주며, 반성의 태도로 성숙한 비판 문화의 형성하여 올바른 방향 을 모색할 기회를 제공해준다. 포용적 애국심을 지닌 시민은 동료 시 민과 함께 어려움을 이길 수 있는 공존하는 시민, 동료 시민의 의견에 귀 기울이며 함께 더 나은 사회를 만들어가는 성찰하는 시민이 될 것 이다. 기존의 애국심을 포용적 애국심으로 재건하는 것은 공동체의 감 정적 위기를 극복하는 대안이 될 것이다.
Reconstruction of Inclusive Patriotism - Focusing on Martha Nussbaum’s Theory of Emotion -
This study aims to research the inclusive patriotism members of Korean society have to rebuild. It reviewed Disgust, Anger, and Compassion, which are sorts of political emotions. Compassion is the basis of inclusive patriotism with desirable public producing ability. Inclusive patriotism motivates the public to try to make an altruistic and just society. In addition, it provides an opportunity to find the right direction by forming a mature critical culture with a reflective attitude. The people of inclusive patriotism would be changed into cooperative citizens who can overcome adversities with others and the reflective citizens who can make a better society by hearing opinions of others. Reconstructing the existing patriotism with inclusive patriotism would be an alternative to overcoming the emotional crisis of this community.
