초등학생용 자기배려 척도(SSC) 개발 및 타당화
본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 자기배려의 정도를 경험적으로 측정할 수 있는 '초등학생용 자기배려 척도(the scale of self-caring for elementary school students: SSC)'를 개발하는 것이다. SSC는 이론 적 배경에 근거하여 총 50문항의 예비문항으로 구성되었다. 예비문항 을 K초등학교 5, 6학년 231명을 대상으로 요인 추출을 위해 탐색적 요 인분석을 하였다. 스크리 도표의 고유값 하락률과 고유치(eigenvalue) 1 이상, 요인 부하량 .3이상을 기준으로 5개 요인이 추출되었다. 요인 간 상관관계가 예상되기 때문에 요인수를 5개로 고정하여 사각요인회 전(OBLIMIN) 방식으로 요인분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경을 근거로 요인별 문항내용을 검토하여 요인1은 '자기이해', 요인2는 '자기수용', 요인3은 '자기조절', 요인4는 '자기존중', 요인5는 '자기 주도성'으로 이름 하였고, 각 요인별로 5문항씩 총 25문항이 추출되었다. 요인구조의 적합성을 알아보기 위하여 B초등학교 5, 6학년 212명을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 한 결과, Normed χ2 값이 1.904(df=265), GFI = .901, CFI = .914, RMSEA = .045로 나타나 요인 구조가 적합한 것으로 나타났다. SSC의 신뢰도 검증에서 검사 전체의 Cronbach의 α계수는 .926이고, 5개 요인의 신뢰도는 .921～.876이었다. 전후반분 신뢰도는 .908, Guttman 반분계수는 .899, 재검사 신뢰도는 .92이었다. 개발한 검사의 구인 타당도를 알아보기 위하여 SSC의 요인 간 상관을 검증한 결과, 각 요인 간 상관은 .256～.460, 각 요인과 검사 전체와 상관은 .425～.602로 p < .01 수준에서 모두 유의한 정적 상관 을 보였다. 연구 결과에 근거하여 본 연구에서 개발한 SSC는 통계적으로 타당하고 신뢰로운 척도로 확인되었다.
The Development of the Scale of Self-Caring(SSC) for Elementary School Students
The purpose of this study was to develop the Scale of Self-Caring(SSC) for elementary school students in South Korea. The date from 231 samples were analyzed to identify sub-factors. 25 items were extracted and 5 sub-factors were identified as the results: self-respect, self-acceptance, self-control, self-directed. To examine the stability of the factor structure of the 25-item measurement model and a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted in AMOS 21.0, and 5 factors were identified. The fit indices for the 25-item 5-factor model were as follows: χ2(df=265, N=212) =504.442, p< .000; Normed χ2 = 1.904; TLI = .903; CFI = .914; GFI = .901; RMSEA = .045(at 90% confidence intervals, .042-.051). To examine internal consistency and split-half reliability, data were collected from samples of 212 elementary school students. The result showed high internal consistency(Cronbach's α= .926), split-half reliability(r= .92). In conclusion, this instrument demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity. Therefore, it is an appropriate measurement of a self-caring for upper grade elementary school students in South Korea.
