실러의 인간학적 윤리학과 총체성 - 시간 속의 인간과 이념 속의 인간의 통일을 중심으로 -
이 글의 목적은 실러(Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller)의‘인간학적 윤리학’을 해명하고, 그 목표가 인간학적 차원의 ‘총체성(die Totalität)’에 있다는 점을 밝히는 데 있다. 글의 중심 방향은 실러의미학적․윤리학적 사상이 집약되어 있는 그의 대표 저작 『인간의 미적 교육에 관한 일련의 편지)』(1795)를 분석하고, 그 의미를 심층적으로 논하면서 이루어 진다. 본 논고를 통해 논자는 우선 실러의 윤리학적 인간학이 형성된 시대적 문제의식이 1789년 프랑스 혁명 당시의 시대적 상황에 있음을분석한다. 여기서 분열된 인간의 극복이 실러 사상의 시대적 과제였음을 확인한다. 다음으로, 이 시대적 과제의 적극적 해결을 위해 실러가‘물리적 인간과 도덕적 인간의 대립과 통일’, ‘시간 속의 인간과 이념속의 인간의 대립과 통일’을 제시했음을 해명한다. 이 해명을 통해 논자는 실러 사상의 인간학적 윤리학을 해명하고 그 목표가 인간의 총체성 회복에 있음을 밝힌다. 마지막으로, 실러가 제시한 인간학적 총체성 개념이 헤겔에 의해서 역사철학의 차원으로 해석되면서 의미의변형이 이루어진 점을 비판적으로 고찰하면서 실러의 총체성 개념에담긴 인간학적 의미를 부각시킨다. 그리하여, 결국 실러의 윤리학적사상에는 우리 시대에도 적용될 수 있는 이상적이며 실천적인 의미가있음을 제시한다.
Schiller's Anthropological Ethics and Totality - Focusing on Unification of Human in Time and Human in Ideology -
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the "anthropological ethics" of Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller and to show that his goal is in the "totality (die Totalität)" of the anthropological dimension. The central direction of the article is to analyze his representative work, "Briefe über die ästhetische Erziehung des Menschen" (1795), which contains Schiller's aesthetic and ethical ideas. In this paper, the authors firstly that Schiller's ethical anthropology was formed in the times of the French Revolution in 1789. Here it is confirmed that the overcoming of the divided human being was a task of the time of the Schiller thought. Next, in order to solve this task positively, Schiller explains that he proposed 'confrontation and unification of physical and moral human' and 'confrontation and unification of Human in Time and Human in Ideology'. Through this clarification, the writer clarifies the anthropological ethics of Schiller thought and reveals that the goal is the restoration of the totality of man. Finally, the writer critically examines the fact that the concept of anthropologic totality proposed by Schiller was interpreted creatively by Hegel and transformed the meanings, highlighting the anthropological meaning contained in Schiller's concept of totality. Thus, in the end, the writer suggests that Schiller's ethical thought has an ideal and practical meaning that can be applied to our time.
