재즈의 즉흥성 메타포의 도덕교육적 적용
음악은 우리 삶이 시작하던 때부터 늘 우리와 함께 해왔다. 때문에 음악적 메타포에 대한 해석의 가능성은 매우 다양하며, 도덕교육에 있어서도 오래 전부터 활용되어 왔다. 본 논문의 문제의식은 학생들의 일상에 음악이 깊이 있게 결부되어 있다는 점에 착안하여 교육현장에서 음악적 메타포가 지닌 도덕 교육적 적용 가능성을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 동서양의 교육철학적 담론에서 음악적 메타포와 도덕교육의 상호연관성에 대해 살펴본다. 다음으로 현대 음악적 메타포로서 재즈가 지닌 즉흥성의 요소로서 자발성, 불완전성, 책임 및 전통에 대한 예의를 논구하고, 이러한 재즈 즉흥성의 교육적 구현 가능 배경과 도덕교육적 적용 방안 및 사례를 제시하고자 한다.
Improvision Metaphor of Jazz and its Application to Moral Education
Music has always been with us since the beginning of our lives. Therefore, musical metaphor can be interpreted in various ways and it has been used for a long time in moral education. The purpose of this paper is to explore the applicability of musical metaphors to moral education in the field of education by drawing attention to the fact that music is deeply attached to students' daily lives. First, we will examine the interrelationship of musical metaphor and moral education in the educational philosophical discourse of East and West. Secondly, we will discuss elements of improvisation of jazz which is related with contemporary musical metaphor: spontaneity, incompleteness, responsibility and respect on tradition. And then, we will present the possible background of the jazz improvisation, applicable method and cases to moral education.
